In a Nutshell
The UK's largest collection of trees and shrubs set in 55 acres of Gloucestershire countryside, with follies, streams and a well stocked garden centre and cafe. Good for a relaxing walk all year round.
Parking and Pooping
The arboretum lies just a short distance west of Moreton in Marsh in the Cotswolds district, between the A429 and the A44. You approach via a long drive way up to the newly laid gravel car park to the left of the of the garden centre. There is plenty of grass around the car park and indeed fields as you drive in, so no problems for pup.

Walkies
Both the arboretum and the garden centre are fully dog friendly, and you enter the arboretum by walking the through the garden centre to the ticket office at the back. The 55 acre site has a combination of tarmac, gravel and grass paths and you can tailor your walk to suit your energy levels. Make sure you do venture down some of the smaller paths though or else you may miss some of the hidden gems and views. There are dog bins throughout the site.

There are a few benches scattered around the site and plenty of grass banks to lie back on if the ground is dry. A stream, which forms a cascade of small pools works its way down the hill and Bella often stops off for a cooling dip!

Keeping the Humans Amused
You don't need to be a gardener to appreciate the arboretum for its landscaping and views. There are numerous follies and points of interest along the way and once you're finished you can plan your own garden in the extensive plant area of the garden centre and then browse the gifts and general garden equipment in the new centre building.

Chow Time
The new garden centre boasts a cafe with a large, raised decking area accessed from the garden shop and cafe where there are plenty of tables. The restaurant serves a good mix of cakes, snacks and hot dinners and you can take your time on the spacious decking area or sit inside with pup. Bella likes to sit right on the edge of the terrace and look down on the people browsing the plant area below.
