Dog friendly designer outlet shopping with good walkies too. What’s not to like! Parking and Pooping
The McArthur Glen outlet at Cannock opened in the spring of 2021 and is developing fast. Just outside Cannock on Eastern Way, it’s an easy drive in from the M6, M6 toll and the A5, making it pretty accessible for Birmingham and the nearby towns to the north of the city. As you would expect there is plenty of free open air parking, with grass verges to the side of the outlet entrance for pup. Toilets are provided in the main complex.  Take a stroll around the nature reserve at the rear of the shopping village
Walkies
As the outlet is an outdoor shopping village, walking pup round is easy. The avenues are reasonably wide with plenty of benches to take a break on. The best part is that nearly all of the shops are dog friendly (look for the blue ‘dogs welcome’ signs) meaning pup can join you in some retail therapy. We found that many actively encourage dogs, with treats on hand for your furry companions. There are even dedicated dog watering fountains dotted around for drinkies. For a longer walk, head passed the Wagamama to the play area and down one of the ramps to walk into the adjacent nature reserve where you can take a circular walk around the lake. Watch out for the squirrels!

Keeping the Humans Amused
As you would expect this is all about the discount shopping and it is refreshing that the shop are so welcoming to furry friends. However for kids there is a dedicated playground area at the rear of the complex and also a water feature in the main square where they can get drenched by the fountains.

Chow Time
There a few restaurants with some outdoor seating but none are currently dog friendly indoors. Wagamama has a covered outdoor seating area to the rear of the restaurant. Starbucks and 200 Coffee however do allow dogs inside, which is useful if the weather turns.

Tried & Tested
Starbucks - gets quite busy so you may have to wait for a table, but dogs allowed in all areas 200 Degree Coffee - now also accepts dogs inside, a little cramped though More Info
