In a Nutshell
Outlet shopping that is decidedly dog friendly! Parking & Pooping
On the M62, leave at Junction 32 (d'oh!) and follow the signs to the retail park. There is oodles of parking and grassed areas in the centre of the shops for pup to use. Walkies
The shops are laid out in a doughnut formation, with grassed areas in the centre. The avenues are wide with benches to rest on, so more than enough space to walk easily and take a rest when the shopping gets too much. There are canopies around all the avenues so you can keep dry even on the rainiest of days. |
Keeping the Humans Amused
Let's face it, you've come here to shop. There's a good range of high street names, mixed with some of the more upmarket brands. There is a strong bias toward outdoor clothing, with Barbour, Tog 24, Blacks, Regatta and Trespass to name a few. Also the big sports brands including Nike and Adidas. See the website here for a full list of shops. All the shops (with the exception of M&S, who don't seem to have got the memo) are dog friendly, so no need to stand outside on a chilly day. However it's not just shops. Across the carpark is the sizable entertainment complex of the Xscape Yorkshire, which may not be dog friendly, but certainly gives you options if family members want to do something else while you shop with pup. Chow Time
Indoor options are little limited, but Starbucks is dog friendly and very spacious, so our preferred option. Tilly's Kitchen in the centre is also dog friendly, with a decent hot food menu. Outdoor seating is available for Greggs, Costa and Bakers & Baristas. Tried & Tested Dog Friendly
Starbucks - very spacious for your caffeine hit Tilly's Kitchen - again quite spacious and normally fairly quiet Last visit Jan 2023 |
