We don't get down to Cornwall, Devon and Somerset very often, but we love visiting all the fishing villages and countryside when we do. The coastline is peppered with fascinating fishing villages and harbour towns, many of which retain their historic character and ambiance. They get busy in the summer, so try and visit outside the school holiday period if you can. Visiting off-season has the dual benefits are finding the villages free of tourists and being able to park at the harbour fronts, rather than a long and often steep walk down to the centre.
Somerset offers some well known tourist spots such as the Cheddar Gorge, Wells and of course shopping at the Clarks Village in Street.
